Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides

For the safety of our guests and the horses, Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides will not be available for the remainder of the 2025 maple season. Unfortunately, branches damaged in the recent ice storm continue to fall throughout our old-growth sugarbush and we have had to close all  the trails to visitors.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to resuming the horse-drawn wagon rides next season.

Available, weather permitting, from 10 am – 2 pm on:

  • Saturdays and Sundays during Maple Season
  • Every Day during March Break

Relax and enjoy the ride as a team of Percheron horses guide you through our maple wonderland. The shelter of our large mature trees will help keep you and your family warm while you make your way over a one-mile loop through the middle of our sugar bush. The route provides a great view of our network of tubing connecting our 4,500 trees and it’s a perfect atmosphere for family fun.

Please call ahead to be sure the horses are here: (705)-325-4347.

When I was young, my grandfather worked every day with our horses King and Dan. The horses were an essential part of our history and our family: they helped haul wood in the summer and gather sap in winter. The horse-drawn wagon rides remind me of those days. We hope you enjoy this special way to experience the sugarbush.
