Orillia Fire Hall Grand Opening

It was an honour for Shaws Catering to be chosen to cater the Orillia Fire Hall Grand Opening at 500 Gill Street.

Skies were overcast, but warmth and pride prevailed, as the Orillia fire department celebrated the opening of this spectacular building. In addition to providing the community with fire services, the new fire station will also provide 911 operations for five municipalities.

Shaws Catering enjoyed being included as part of the Orillia Fire Hall grand opening celebration. Our BBQs added warmth and a delicious lunch to the festivities. We were thrilled to see so many community members out to support our fire department.

For many years, the Shaw family has been very proud of the role Scott Duncan, former Captain and nephew of Myrtle (Duncan) Shaw, has played in the Orillia Fire Department. Scott has also played a very active and much appreciated role at Shaws Catering and Shaws Maple Syrup.

"Thank you for attending to make the opening ceremony for our new Fire Station One such a success on Saturday November 22. We certainly appreciated you providing the barbeque and doing the cooking with our retired Captain Scott Duncan.

We had anticipated perhaps 350 people for this event, but the community showed us tremendous support and we believe we had over 600 people in attendance
