Lake of Bays Brewing Company contacted us for an ingredient in their new Seasonal Ale. Brew Master Dan chose a Spring Maple Belgian style Blonde.
“ It seemed a natural to me to put together a recipe that said, “Spring is on its way”
Personally I am not a fan of dessert beers, as my pallet prefers beers that lean more towards the dry side. The challenge then was how to incorporate maple syrup and not come out too sweet. I feel the Belgian yeast adds a note of spice to the flavour profile, this along with a lower mash temperature for dryness, balances out the Maple.”
Dan produced a tasty Beer and we were very happy to be a part of it.
