Since they built their replica of the Musical Barn in 2016, our friends at Quayle’s Brewery have become very well known for their exceptional craft beer. They are also quickly establishing a name as a preferred location for beautiful weddings. This past weekend, the team at Shaws Catering was thrilled to return to Quayle’s Brewery and add our fully catered bbq buffet to a wedding in the Hop Yard Nursery.
There are so many reasons to be attracted to Quayle’s Brewery. The property is stunning. The Brewery sits on the crest of a hill overlooking 12 acres of vibrant green hop-yards with the rolling hills of Oro-Medonte in the background. Catherine and Graydon, the owners, have carved out a secluded and shady area within their more than 80 acres of mature trees for wedding ceremonies and they have constructed a gorgeous garden area for receptions in the converted hop-yard. It’s vibrant, it’s peaceful and welcoming.
Perhaps the thing that we appreciate above all else about Quayle’s Brewery is the degree to which they, like Shaws Catering and Shaws Maple Syrup, are connected to the land and committed to nature. Catherine and Graydon use their own spring water and farm fresh hops to create a unique, and delicious, farm-to-glass experience. Their commitment comes across in everything they do and the result is a warm, natural, inviting, and relaxing experience. We should also mention that the beer is fantastic.
Our fresh Shaws Catering bbq buffet was a perfect addition to this sunny Saturday wedding at Quayle’s Brewery. Guests enjoyed the aroma of slow cooked meat on the grill and the sight of our fresh sides on the buffet. And what a sight it was. The bride and groom treated their 130 guests to delicious prime rib and salmon from the grill which they combined with family favourites homemade macaroni and cheese and broccoli-cheese salad to complete the buffet. Perfectly in keeping with the Quayle’s Brewery commitment to natural and fresh, guests enjoyed ice cream with Shaws maple syrup for dessert. Incredible! Our fun, helpful and professional team made sure the experience was perfect for everyone involved. Thank you for including us and our congratulations to the happy couple!
