For the past 24 years, this extended family has generously packaged their love of music, BBQ, family and friends into an epic event we call “Cottage-Fest”. Held each year over the August long weekend, Cottage-Fest always attracts a huge crowd to this expansive Muskoka River property. While the BBQ portion of past parties has featured many successful Shaws Do-It-Yourself Pig Roasts, the 25th Anniversary of Cottage-Fest called for a Shaws custom BBQ buffet. We were delighted to oblige.
Our incredible team prepared a BBQ buffet that featured perfectly roasted hips of beef expertly carved by Tom and Ian. Sides included Mac and cheese, baby potatoes, maple glazed carrots, Caesar salad, and coleslaw. No doubt, the smell of the beef grilling generated some delicious anticipation with this happy crowd. We posed no imposition to an already crowded cottage as we prepared all the sides in our discreet outdoor kitchen. When the time came, we happily fed 200 guests quickly and were pleased to see so many come back for seconds, and thirds as we replenished the buffet as needed!
