We are always impressed when families transform their property into a cozy and inviting wedding venue. They take barns, garages or equipment storage buildings, and add the right amount of edison lights, linens, decorations and flowers to create a stunning, relaxing, and very personal space for guests. We were once again delighted to be a part of an incredible transformation last Saturday when we catered an early fall wedding in Springwater.
The wedding took place at the bride’s parents spacious property. With the help of wedding planner Karen Christakos from Mountain Wedding Company, the bride and groom created an absolutely beautiful experience from start to finish.
The outdoor ceremony was marked by a rose petal aisle, fall mums and a tulle draped arbour. Guests mingled in the fabulous early fall weather before heading inside for a rousing game of tip-the-cup. For the record, the ladies won. With the atmosphere clearly set to fun, the Shaws Catering buffet took centre stage.
It was our pleasure to serve guests a buffet of prime rib slow roasted on the grill, maple bbq chicken, broccoli salad, caesar salad and baked potatoes with cheddar cheese, green onions, bacon and sour cream. A menu perfectly aligned with the early fall weather.
After dinner, EVERYONE danced and attention turned to the bar, expertly tended by Cassidy from Coordinated by Cass. A fantastic wedding and we appreciate being included. Our best wishes to the happy couple.
