We were completely blown away by the beauty of the Glen Oro Event Centre when we arrived last weekend to cater a fall wedding. Nestled in the rolling hills of Oro-Medonte, the event centre provides guests with an incredible and unobstructed view of the fall leaves from the luxurious comfort of a permanent tent. To make sure guests achieve complete relaxation, the event centre is equipped with clear walls and ceiling panels, a wide-plank wood floor, extensive lighting, a full bar as well as equally inviting indoor AND outdoor lounges.
Operating as a world-class equestrian centre since 1967, Glen Oro Farm recently expanded the variety of experiences guests can enjoy on the property with the addition of an event centre and an eco-retreat. These new facilities allow visitors to escape the day-to-day and immerse themselves in nature while being quietly pampered with every imaginable comfort.
Our friends at Glen Oro Farm know what experts around the world, from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health to Yale University, also know – that time spent in nature has a positive impact on mental health. Benefits include reduced anxiety and depression as well as an improvement in focus, concentration and a feeling of well-being.
This fall wedding at Glen Oro certainly contributed to the delight of the 130 guests in attendance. Every detail was carefully planned and meticulously managed by Kinga, the Glen Oro Event Coordinator. Guests had fun mingling and playing games by the cabin prior to the exchange of vows at the horse paddock. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed dinner in the breathtaking splendor of the event centre. As day turned to night, chandeliers gave a glamorous glow inside while bonfires kept the crowd warm as they chatted outside.
It was our pleasure to serve guests a custom bbq buffet of freshly grilled salmon and maple bbq chicken served with potatoes, rice pilaf, hot pasta, baby carrots and tossed salad. Our food was paired nicely by the drinks provided by the Glen Oro bartending team of Rachel, Sabrina and Mel.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Glen Oro and we are grateful to have been included. Our very best wishes go out to the happy couple.
