In March 2020, when COVID-19 became a global pandemic, the staff at Miller Waste had to figure out how to deliver the essential service of waste management from home. Lucky for us all, they were quick to master the task. The thought of being quarantined at home for months on end with no garbage removal is something we would rather not contemplate.
More than two years later, many of the staff have finally been able to safely return to the office. To mark the occasion and recognize the extraordinary effort put forward by their staff, Miller Waste treated employees to a staff appreciation event. We were MORE than happy to provide a fully catered custom bbq buffet for this hard working crew.
Miller Waste provides waste and recycling collection services, dumpster bin rentals, compost and landscaping materials to a variety of communities. Committed to taking care of the environment, Miller Waste is also very involved in the design, construction and operation of waste diversion facilities. Founded in the 1960’s by the Miller family, the organization has grown from two trucks in Markham to over 1,200 collection vehicles and 2,000 employees across Ontario, Manitoba, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Still family owned and operated, Miller Waste puts the health, wellbeing and safety of their employees first and their staff appreciation event proves the organization is true to their values.
The Shaws Catering buffet featured freshly grilled maple chicken and grilled peameal on a bun with all the fixings. We also included a variety of sides including mixed green salad, old fashion chunky potato salad, garden pasta salad and hot vegetarian pasta. The weather could not dampen the spirits of this team or their amazing human resource representative Tiffany. It was great to see everyone reunited and enjoying the time together. Thanks for including us.
