Three buffet tables, six lines of guests, nine catering staff and five full size slo-roasted pigs was all we needed to feed 600 happy athletes in 45 minutes at the Orillia Slo-Pitch end of season banquet. We have catered this event since 2008 and our amazing team always has a great time.
Held this past Friday at the Orillia District Agricultural Society (ODAS) Park, this celebration marked the first end of season banquet for the league in two years. Understandably, players were relieved to be able to celebrate the season and excited to get together.
We take great pride in our ability to feed any size crowd in less than an hour. The configuration of our tables allows people on both sides of the buffet so every guest is quickly satisfied with a fresh, hot, delicious and personalized meal. For this event, our friends at Orillia Slo-Pitch created a custom bbq buffet that offered guests slo-roasted pork with a variety of sides including baby potatoes, maple baked beans, peach and cream kernel corn, and Caesar salad. It was a fantastic fall meal. As guests enjoyed their dinner, event planners were able to focus the majority of the evening on entertaining the audience with speeches and awards but they also left lots of time for dancing.
These athletes like to DANCE!! It was hard not to given the skills of The Real DJ Kaos who played all the right music to get people moving!
It was another fantastic evening for all, thanks to the Orillia Slo-Pitch organization. We were delighted to be a part of the end-of-season banquet once again. Our congratulations to all the winning teams. Have a great winter and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
