In summer, the population of Muskoka Lakes jumps to almost 400% of what it is in the winter as people come from all over the world to enjoy the Canadian Shield at its best. Blue skies, tall trees, and freshwater, with gorgeous rock framing it all. On this August Saturday, our team thoroughly enjoyed the morning drive from Oro to Lake Rosseau. We passed all three of the big Muskoka lakes on our way to a gorgeous cottage privately nestled among the pine trees and granite outcroppings. Our task for today? Serve a bbq buffet lunch to 100 friends and family, or what we call, a perfect midday meal in Muskoka.
Our set up on the driveway was a great location for a lunch buffet. Flat, cool and overseen by a giant driftwood Moose. Our team got to work and we prepared a delicious roast pig and married it with a selection of potato salad, hot pasta salad, coleslaw, greek and Caesar salads. It was a fun and easy way to feed this larger than average cottage crowd on a sunny summer afternoon. Thanks for sharing your corner of Muskoka with us!
