Sometimes everything comes together to make an event a HUGE success and that was certainly the case for Maple Weekend 2022. Maple syrup operators across Simcoe County, including Shaws, served a traditional maple syrup experience for a multitude of guests. A weekend of warm, sunny days enhanced the experience and helped generate the largest volume of fresh maple sap we’ve seen yet this year.
Organized and promoted by the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers Association, Maple Weekend 2022 highlights the historical significance and natural simplicity of maple syrup production with promoted events like pancake breakfasts, trail walks, taffy on the snow and syrup making demonstrations. Shaws Maple Syrup is proud to support the event and the role it plays in highlighting the industry and the high quality of Ontario maple syrup.
Over the weekend, CTV Barrie was on site reporting on the event at Shaws and many other syrup producers across Simcoe County. Please click HERE to read the article and click on the image below for the video.
As outlined in the article, the 2022 Maple Season has been fantastic so far. The Maple Weekend 2022 event provided a wonderful opportunity for us to welcome so many people back to the sugar bush. Guests enjoyed the sunshine and spent their time hiking through the marked trail, riding in the horse-drawn wagon, and enjoying pancakes, french toast and sausages at the Pancake House. Maple season at its very best.
Shaws is open every day from 8 am – 4 pm until April 18, 2022. We are serving pancakes, french toast, sausages, maple baked beans and lots of other maple delights in the Pancake House. Click here to see our menu.
